Good news from Radio Rog!

Greetings, visitors! I'm here to pass along some good news for KHOI from our interim board president, Radio Rog.

He says:
KHOI received a matching grant from Unitarian Universalist Funding Program for $10,000. The purpose of these funds is to pay for services required to start a community supported radio station in Story County, Iowa.

KHOI will have a emphasis on local issues that the community wants to voice. There will be music and discussion shows to light up your imagination.

Translation:
Every dollar that our community donates in support of building a friendly community radio station will be matched 1 for 1 by the good folks at the UU. The matching funds will go towards non-hardware, but you can always let us know what you want your donation to go towards.

I'm going to do my best to have a donate now link up by midnight tonight; this will provide another option to those of you who are too busy to write and mail out a check but want to help.

We've submitted all our paperwork for 501(c)(3) status, but it takes a while to go through; if you'd like to make a larger donation and want to be assured that it can be written off on your taxes, please shoot me an e-mail on the contact form.
